North-West Marches - Maps and Sketches
So, I've been slack on my session reports. Nominally, this is because I've been leaving them open for players to complete for experience. In practice... yeah. At any rate, Grendel, the Gnomish Barbarian Pacifist, has been producing these lovely sketches during the sessions, which are quite an achievement. I'll leave them up to interpretation.
In addition, the map as it currently stands. They've travelled a long way!

New project - Crowdsourced 1d6x3d20 dungeon designer, 293 results to go!
If you have a list of 100 rooms, then your randomly generated dungeon has (obviously) a hundred different results. This might seem like a lot, but once you've gone through thirteen rooms, the chance of having a duplicate result is over 50%. On the other hand, consider a 2d20 spark table. That's four hundred potential results, with two-fifths the work of the d100 table!

1d6x3d20 GYGAXIAN DUNGEON
EDIT: Is complete! In addition, there is a 3d20 table of for the original dungeon purpose, current usage and weird entrances/overall features. Go forth and... generate?
EDIT 2: In classic style, I've gone and changed the design spec just as everything was all wrapped up neatly...
That's 48 000 different rooms. Structurally, the tables are laid out in a similar manner to some other microdungeons I've made. There are six tables, selected with a d6 for each new room you explore - 1. Encounter, 2. Empty, 3. Trap, 4. Trick, 5. Travel, 6. Treasure.

1. Encounter
Things you are likely to talk to, fight, eat or run away from. Ideally, there should be some possibility of each of the previous options. The three tables are: Mindset (current behaviour/activity), Monster (evident) and [Secret] Goal (possibly not secret at all, but long-term)
2. Empty
Except not really. The sights, smells and sounds of the dungeon. In addition, there are a list of Events that are related to time passing within the dungeon.
3. Trap
Composed of a Disguise, a Trigger and an Effect. Make them suffer for exploring in a haphazard manner, or running away from a monster.
4. Trick
Things to fuck around with. Is it loot? Is it a trap? Can you tell the difference? Composed of three random tables, mostly passive but dangerous in their own right.
5. Travel
By default, there are 1-4 exits from each room you enter (the way you came in, and then one exit for each odd d20 roll). However, like all good dungeons, this one is going to be Jaquayed to shit. This result is for all the hidden paths, locked doors and staircases crisscrossing the various levels. Three tables - the Method, the Destination and a Complication.
6. Treasure
What we are all here for. Weird and bizarre and highly valuable under certain niche conditions. Two tables of loot, and one set of Complications. What, did you think it would be easy?
There's also a supplementary set of lists for the original purpose of the complex, the current usage, and a set of interesting dungeon entrances, features and layouts. Commenting is open on the Google Doc, but leave ideas here, send me comments on G+, Discord, via pigeon, on the walls of bathrooms, through dreams, whichever method of divinatory cloud manipulation you prefer etc. etc. If everyone reading this donates a single entry, we would be one entry closer to completion!

Scrambled Race Table
Let the record show: This was a poor idea to begin with and I was pressured into posting it.
It's got... stuff from... just about everywhere? There are duplicates, but not quite, and some are objectively better than others. Luckily, this is OSR, so the players that roll well will die pretty much exactly as fast, on average, as everyone else. Hurrah for statistics!
I refuse, on morale grounds, to fix the above problem. You can though! Just grab the stuff under the break, make the obvious and needful changes, then run it through this here doohickey. It's what I would do! But I'm not going to. For reasons.

Statistically, you're not gonna look as dope as this guy. No harm in trying though! Credit Jue "Leo" Li |

Witch Woods Microdungeon
Tread lightly. Credit Godserg |
1d6+1 paths are known to thread these woods. This one:
- Cuts roughly through the forest, ignorant and rude.
- Loops in and out of the forest again.
- Heads more or less directly to a point of interest and stops.
- Crosses at least two other roads. Those ones are not for mortal feet.
- Leads to a small hamlet, what kind of people would live here?
- Do not follow this road. DO NOT FOLLOW.
Roll 1d6 every time you travel somewhere new. When backtracking, roll every three spaces but ignore 5-6:
- Encounter
- Glint (Roll 1d6 if you continue, 1. Ambush, 2. Surprised Encounter, 3. Event, 4. Hazard, 5. Nothing, 6. Loot)
- Weather
- Hazard
- Event
- Advantage
ENCOUNTER
- 1d6 brigands with +3 HD between them. They’ll (1d4): 1. Take your money and go, 2. Cut your throat as soon as look at ya, 3. Make you dance for their pleasure, 4. Run at the first sign of danger. Roll only when pushed hard. If they retreat, this encounter might jump by +1d6 bandits
- 3d6 wolves, three with +1 HD
- Trolls
- 5HD swarm of vermin, rats and beetles and centipedes, 1d4 attacks per round
- 6HD (1d8) - Wolf, Elk, Boar, Serpent, Green Man, Doppelganger
- Servant of the Queen, 4HD human, never as they first appear. The mundane are magical, the sane are lunatics, the knights are knaves, always vice versa.
- Nightmare of the Hunted. 5HD, invisible unless within 5 inches, flings nets and spears and arrows at an inhuman pace, only one target, will capture alive if possible
- The Witch, 9HD in the woods, 6HD out of them, every spell you can think of, and then a few besides, two turns per round
WEATHER (starts at 1d6, min 0)
- Hot and muggy, save vs. insects (1-in-6 chance of disease), -2 to Weather
- Clear, -1 to Weather
- Fog, +1 to Weather
- Light rain, +1 to Weather
- Rain, +2 to Weather
- Torrential, save vs. lost item
- Hail, save vs. 1 damage if outside
- Or more: Savage Storm, find decent shelter or save vs. 1d6 damage and lost item, then -3 to Weather
HAZARD (roll 1d4 on the path, 1d8 in the woods, 1d12 in the dark places)
- Just a sprained ankle, 1 damage
- Save or lose a random item
- Sharp thorn from a odd plant, CON check or (1d8): 1. I am a tree, 2. My friends have been replaced by doubles, 3. The earth is delicious chocolate, 4. Whose arm is this? 5. Hidden enemies are everywhere, 6. Everyone can get along if we just hold hands and sing songs 7. I am the second incarnation of God 8. THE WITCH IS COMING
- Lost your way, off the path or into the dark
- Omen of Doom. Crows laugh, flowers wither, pointing corpse. Fail next save.
- Trees drop limbs on you from above, suspiciously accurate
- Vicious hunting trap, rusty metal spikes and springs. It wasn’t set by any ordinary hunter
- Lost your way, into the dark, and something is following you, next Glint is an Ambush automatically
- Poison gasses reaching for your eyes and lungs
- Stinking, oozing marshlands
- Mobile and toxic plant attacks slowly, unstoppable and all surrounding, you’ve been walking on it for that last few minutes
- Vanish. Make a save. If you pass, its 1d10 days. If you fail, its 1d10 months.
EVENT (roll 1d6 on the path, 1d12 off the path, 1d12+6 in the dark places)
- Just a rustle of wind
- A stream, winding across the path
- A dropped teddy, wedding ring or scuffed letter
- Crossroads, leading nowhere
- A dog, whimpering in a hedge
- An opulent carriage, crashed off the path
- Tree with a face on it
- Blue smoke trickling into the sky
- Three nobles that have lost their way, rich, foolish, swords at their belts. Do they know how to use them?
- Glowing stones embedded in the road
- Vivisected animal, unrecognisable. If not buried will follow along.
- The way down. Down into the dark. Immediately roll another event at 1d6+12
- Faerie Ring, their motives are inscrutable, especially to themselves, their methods are dancing, blood, kisses and garrottes of flowers
- Crossroads, leading everywhere
- Night falls faster with every step, the moon rises but it isn’t yours
- The path turns and turns and turns until you can just about see your own feet in front of you. Trapped until you do something unexpected, twice
- Captives from the village in a tableau. Paralysed in positions of domesticity. Still alive. Eyes rolling, teeth fixed in a smile.
- The Witches Lair. 1d4: 1. she’s out on business, 2. she’s home, 3. roll again in an hour, 4. she’s right behind you
LOOT
- Poisoned Apple, glistening
- Cursed Ring, glinting
- Steps into the Tree, safe and stifling
- Broken Blade, potent
- Stolen Coins, enviable
- Blessed Flower, eternal
- Broken Beehive, sticky and delicious
- Scruffy Hat, half as witty as it thinks it is

If you were wondering if you have seen this before, very briefly, you are not correct. I did not panic when it didn't work in the blog as it did in testing, and did not delete the whole thing and storm off in disgust.
Ahem.
Anyway, this 'ere doohickey doesn't work in the slightest. But it might! Soon even! But probably not for a while, because I have no idea what the hell I'm doing.
You can download a functional version right here though. Screw Blogger and it's crummy implementation of my hack-job!
EDIT: IT LIVES. Just don't increase the size beyond five. Hopefully I'll find away around that limitation soon...
